Braised Beef Rice

Today I introduce you to my braised beef rice recipe prepared with Tefal POP Rice Cookers.

Serves: 3-4 pax

One-Pot Meal

A hearty one-pot rice dish with tender braised beef and savoury seasonings, cooked entirely in a rice cooker. A simple, comforting meal that needs minimal preparation.

  • Ingredients

    280g/1 ½ cup White Rice
    260g Water
    240g Sliced Beef
    2 slices Ginger
    1 ½ tbsp Light Soy Sauce
    1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
    1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
    1 tbsp Oil
    1 tbsp Corn Starch
    1 Egg

  • Preparation

    1. Marinate sliced beef with ginger, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, oil and corn starch for at least 15 minutes
    2. Place washed rice and water into the rice cooker
    3. Close the lid and select "White Rice" function
    4. When the rice is cooked, add in marinated beef, select "White Rice" function and cook for 10 minutes
    5. Open the lid really fast and pour in the egg in the middle, let it cook for another 5 minutes
    6. Garnish the rice with some chopped spring onion and serve!
