Chicken Congee

  • Ingredients

    170g Jasmine rice
    1000g Chicken broth (can be replaced with water)
    200g Chicken breast
    20g Garlic
    10g Ginger
    6g White part of scallion
    8g Fish sauce
    2g White pepper powder
    2g Salt
    2g Cilantro
    5g Red chili
    10g Fried minced garlic
    20g Lime

  • Preparation

    1. Rinse the rice and put it into the rice cooker with chicken broth, garlic, and ginger
    2. Give it a stir
    3. Close the lid
    4. Select the “Congee” function
    5. Cook for about 45 minutes
    6. Until the rice is soft and broken down
    7. Open the lid
    8. Add chicken breast and scallion
    9. Season with fish sauce, white pepper, and salt
    10. Stir well
    11. Serve in a bowl
    12. Top with cilantro, chili slices, and fried garlic
    13. Squeeze fresh lime on top before eating
